Therapy for Relationships

We embrace the diversity of relationships and understand that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to love. Whether you’re a couple, parent and child, siblings, or any other dynamic, we’re here to support healthy relationships.

Our practice is proudly inclusive, serving individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+, Kink, and Polyamorous. We start by understanding the unique dynamics and goals of your relationship(s). Drawing from various approaches, including the Gottman Method, we help you navigate challenges and nurture the strengths of your relationship.

The Gottman Approach, developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, is backed by extensive research on what makes relationships thrive or fail. Whether you’re a couple who argues loudly or rarely disagrees, we’ll help you identify areas for growth and develop practical skills to strengthen your bond.

Whether you’re seeking to strengthen your relationship, navigate a transition, or cultivate a cooperative co-parenting dynamic, Better Together Mental Health is here to support you every step of the way.

We also support individuals navigating the end of a relationship, such as divorce, and strive to foster cooperative co-parenting or other joint purposes. Our therapy sessions can be conducted in person or through telehealth, providing flexibility and accessibility to accommodate your needs.

We’re Not a Good Match For:

  • Clients seeking to control or overpower another individual
  • Parents seeking to “fix” the sexual orientation or gender identity of their child
  • Clients seeking to hide other relationships from their partner or spouse
  • Clients needing intensive support or access to a provider daily
  • Those facing legal issues (including child custody) requiring mandated therapy or needing reports regularly
  • Clients only seeking care to get someone else off their case
